Sallys song

Last week i was in a funk. I wasn't making things with the same zest and energy. A lot of it had to do with my epic fail of a boba fett doll. So i stopped dollmaking activity for two days and just stared at my work space and fabrics. I cleaned and just gave myself a break.

I came back to this doll body i had left over from Halloween. I looked at it and thought -Hey its sally's color. Then thought some more. I decided to make a sally doll. I didn't know if i had the right colors and i didn't care. I just wanted to make something. So i got out my Drawing pad and sketched,did some research and got the colors down and just went with it.

Basically Making Sally was a bit of rehab. She is every thing i love. Complicated pattern, embroidery detail and long yarn hair, not to mention a character i actually LIKE. Needless to say I'm feeling a bit better.


Sally dress patterns are all hand stitched with embroidery floss and black ribbon. The back is equally as detailed.

Oh she may also be a gift too
